I do not want to get all postmodern on you and I definitely don't want this to be misinterpreted or misinterpreted as some sort of postmodern amoral philosophical discussion. It isn't. What I'm just saying is that there are always two sides to a story.

Self Care

I am a bit obsessed with my animals. And I make certain if you had a pet dog and a bunny, you 'd be obsessed with them too. Abby (pet dog) and Niblet (bunny) are well-behaved, very social and have a great deal of personality. Abby is really popular in the community and the other canines consider her a star. Numerous pet moms and dads (or any moms and dad) hate leaving their kids when it is time to go to work and I was one of them. Lots of mornings I would believe, I just desire to be a stay at home family pet parent.

I have actually been fortunate to deal with a great deal of terrific individuals, but cubicle life didn't appear to fit me anymore. I felt the work I was doing could be done from a house. I would take a vacation and feel revitalized for a couple of days and then burnout would return. In the back of my mind I always thought how great it would be to be my own boss. Having the ability to periodically come home for lunch and stroll my pet kept me going on bad days.
It became harder and harder to return to the workplace.

Abby did a great job of making me feel guilty whenever I would leave, whether it remained in the early morning or during a lunch check out. I understood one day I would discover the right circumstance to make a modification, I simply didn't realize how soon. The business mindset of being a number on a spreadsheet and a body to fill a task was getting old. Doing the work of three people was enough to make me kip down my resignation.

As soon as that letter was sent out, I felt completely elated. I started counting down the days up until I was totally free. Every early morning I believed, I will not need to leave home to go to work every morning very soon. Only 5 more days, 4 more days, 3 more days, etc

. Throughout my recently, I began to put my workplace together. Among the most crucial pieces was a pet bed. The only challenge I'm finding right now is that Abby wishes to sit on my lap as I'm working. I allow it in some cases, how could I not.

It was a difficult shift to make, but I have definitely no regrets. The joy and freedom I feel outweighs any fear and working in my office where my furry kids run around is my type of task!
